Activate Virginia Position Statement:
In our continuing effort to combat obesity and chronic illness associated with being over weight, the YMCA's of Virginia have come together to help individuals and families develop healthier lifestyles.

In collaboration with community-based partners, both present and potential, the YMCA seeks to lead the community and the nation to reduce barriers and increase support for healthy living.

As a nonprofit organization operating 74 YMCA branches, serving over 1.1 million men, women, and children in Virginia with an Open to All policy, the YMCA is strategically positioned to play a major leadership role.
